Co-ops are parent led, require parent participation and volunteering, and can be academically inconsistent. Tutoring fills the gap of one specific subject, is usually there to fix a problem, and tends to happen in a one-on-one setting.
Viora offers something different. Classes are created and led by a certified teacher, and are held in a drop-off format allowing parents to have time to get other things done or do nothing at all. We cover multiple subjects that build on each other to allow for deeper understanding, not catching up. Social time is intentionally built into the day in a way that fosters respect and meaningful relationships.

$150 is due upon registration. Registration will happen when you initially enroll your child, and each year in August when we start our new school year cycle.
The registration fee secures your spot on our roster and covers materials cost for the year for your student.
This fee is non-refundable.

Not exactly. The ages listed help keep similar developmental levels together. However, we all know that every child is different and everyone grows at their own rates. If you feel like your student would do better in a different age group, just ask! We will sit down and discuss your child’s specific personality and needs, as well as the group dynamics to see where would be a good fit.
-
No. We want this to be a place for learning for all. We are accepting and respectful of all children, regardless of their beliefs.
-
Yes. This allows students to be able to fully engage and immerse themselves in their learning and social time.
-
Classes will only be held if there is a minimum of 8 students registered for each session. This ensures our ability to complete activities, projects, and labs with enough kids in each group.
If enrollment is too low when classes begin, the start date will be postponed until our roster fills.
-
As soon as I have at least 8 kids in each session. Hopefully by June.
The anticipated start date is August 3 2026.
-
This depends on the group.
The maximum number of kids per Junior session is 12 in order to maintain small group sizes and ensure a good level of direct supervision for each child.
In the Senior sessions, up to 15 students will be allowed to enroll. In this age group, we are focussing more on building independence, community, and autonomy. Allowing slightly bigger groups helps the students do this in a more natural way.

No. We take the month of June off to rest, relax, and spend time with family. July is spent planning, preparing, and hosting drop-in, trial classes for new families to try Viora out, or current families to come and have fun.

In STEM, we’ll do things like make a solar oven to cook s’mores, design catapults and roller coasters, dissect organisms, make clouds in a jar, and create mini ecosystems.
In Life Skills, we’ll do things like learning problem solving skills, explore different jobs in the community, talk first-aid basics, learn basic kitchen skills, experience what a job interview is all about, and build early financial literacy.
In Discovery Lab, we’ll discover the world around us. We’ll celebrate fun holidays like International Donut Day (and yes, there will be donuts!), learn the history behind Cinco De Mayo, discuss the importance of our water supply, learn about traditions around New Braunfels, and let the kids pick the topics. This is where they get to take the lead!

No. If your student attends Viora for multiple years, they will not just be repeating the same activities each year. While we will hit on many of the same topics to keep everything aligned, we will go deeper as they get older. Each year, the activities and main points of each lesson will change based on group dynamics and needs. Education is fluid and our lessons should allow for constant growth and change.
